The essence and the place of the verification and validation in criminal proceedings as criminalistics methods are revealed. It is concluded that the verification in trial proceedings provides a confirmation that progress and results of trial proceedings correspond to actual circumstances of the events, and the validation provides verification of compliance with procedural rules, criminalistics rules and recommendations in trial proceedings.
