Article title The Sports Agency Service Contract: Concept and General Characteristics

Annotation The author carried out the legal analysis of the sports agency service contract. Analysis of the legal structure of the sports agency service contract gives the reason to conclude that this agreement is primarily intended to regulate relations between the athlete and sports agent, concerning the «employment» of athlete which is the entering into a contract with the sports club. The author concludes that the sports agency service contract mediates the relationship of representation developing between the athlete and the sports agent. The contract is compensational, consensual, mutual. In addition, the article presents the comparative legal analysis of the peculiarities of the American and European models of «sports agency services». Besides the historical aspects of the formation of the sports agency services institute are analyzed.
