Annotation

The article gives a comparative analysis of the legal norms of the Vienna United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods and the Civil Code of Ukraine. Particular attention is paid to the use of the provisions of the Vienna Convention in the drafting of the Civil Code of Ukraine. There is provided legal analysis of certain provisions of the Convention and the Civil Code, which contain a variety of approaches to the settlement of the same legal relations. There are analysed the differences of the principles of legal regulation of sale in national law and in the Vienna Convention. The article outlines the main differences in approaches to the conclusion of contracts of sale, in particular their form, requirements for offer, order of its acceptance, etc. A number of differences in the legal regulation are concentrated in the provisions governing the contract performance issues and the protection of the rights of its parties.
