The features of the Prosecutor’s office activity to implement the functions of representing the interests in court as a kind of legal action are researched. Particular attention is paid to the features of purposefulness, functionality, competency, exclusivity, legal basis, system structuring, regulatory orderliness, rationality, efficiency, effectiveness, transparency and openness. The study offers original definition of this type of legal action.
