The article is devoted to the current statelegal problems of the history of Galicia-Volyn principality. These are sociopolitical prerequisites, process of its emergence and development, characteristics of main sources of law, and the process of transformation of Galicia-Volyn principality into the Kingdom. Considerable attention is paid to the analysis of controversial issues on the history of Galicia-Volyn principality, and shows its historical significance in the long process of becoming Ukrainian statehood. The Galicia-Volyn state is proved to be early Ukrainian state in its essence. |
