Annotation The article investigates the role of lawyers in the protection of human rights in criminal proceedings. Special attention is paid to the procedural forms of protest activity of the lawyer in criminal proceedings. It is noted that the procedural objection is an open response to the lawyer’s violations of their rights and the rights of his client. The author highlights the petitions, applications, claims, objections, comments, protests and complaints among the procedural forms of protest activity of the attorney in criminal proceedings. The article also notes that it is expedient to improve and investigate principles of effective professional legal capacity further in adversarial criminal proceedings.
