| Annotation |
Given the analysis of the current views, the specific nature of constitutional and legal responsibility of representative bodies of local government is studied in the article. Thus, the author proposes approaches and gives the definition of the constitutional and legal responsibility of representative bodies of local government. Forms of the constitutional and legal responsibility of representative bodies of local government due to the subject of representative body are identified. The need of finding new and more effective forms of the constitutional and legal responsibility of representative bodies of local government is emphasized. The issues of drawbacks of the effective legislation concerning the early termination of the powers of village, settlement and city mayors are analyzed. The need to develop recall mechanism of deputies by voters is grounded. The attention is drawn to the revival of legal education of the public as to the nature and role of representative bodies. |
