Annotation Processes of acculturation of domestic legislation in the area of private international law (PIL), expansion of international unification of conflict law, and their interaction steadily make the way towards genuine private international law. While reforming its private international law, each state takes due regard of these processes. Ukraine considers them in its international private legal policy as well. According to one of the authors of draft Law of Ukraine «On Private International Law», the article demonstrates the reception of certain principles and norms set forth in international instruments, namely in the Rome Convention on the Law Applicable to Contractual Obligations of 1980, in the Ukrainian legislation. The states usually treat such principles and norms as international standards of law of conflict.
Keywords private international law, law of conflict, Law of Ukraine «On Private International Law», reception of private international law.
