Article title Modern Trends in Harmonization of European Union Energy Legislation and its Influence on the Third Countries in Development of Alternative Energetics

Annotation The article examines recent trends in EU energy legislation, analyzes its extension to third countries through the activities of the Energy Community. The source basis of the Energy Community in the field of alternative energy is investigated. Acts of alternative energy to be implemented by the Contracting Parties are rather heterogeneous. Some of them are already abolished in the EU specialized directives 2001/77/EC and 2003/30/EC. Directive that replaced them — 2009/28/EU, is still not included in the aque communitare, to be implemented, but its components are included in a legally non-binding recommendations to voluntary adaptation of the Contracting Parties. The procedure of decision-making in the Energy Community is described. The procedure of the accession of Ukraine to the Energy Community is studied. The basic attention is paid to the implementation of the Third Energy Package and its relationship to the development of renewable energy in the EU Member States and Energy Community. It is concluded that Energy Community is one of the means of distributing energy aque EU to the third countries.
