| Annotation | This article provides an overview of the work of UNCITRAL in the field of international arbitration as well as comprehensive analysis of current projects of UNCITRAL in the area. The first section examines the work of UNCITRAL on preparation of a guide on the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards which aims to achieve universal adherence to the Convention, together with its uniform interpretation and effective implementation. The second section analyses the new, development of the UNCITRAL Secretariat — Digest of Case Law on the Model Law on International Commercial Arbitration for judges of national courts aimed at fostering the understand of the Law. The third section examines the work on the draft Recommendations for the use of the Model UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules (as amended in 2010) by arbitral institutions, intended to help these institutions determine the proper order of application of the Model Rules. The fourth section analyses the current work of UNCITRAL for the development of a legal standard on transparency in treaty-based investor-State arbitration. |
