| Annotation |
The article deals with the European Union’s accession to the Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms. Antecedents of accession to the Convention, the relationship between the case-law of the European Court of Human Rights and the Court of Justice is set, the development of primary legal foundations for accession and the measures taken by the Council of Europe in preparation for the accession are defined. The position taken by the Court of Justice and the European Court of Human Rights on the issue of accession of the EU to the ECHR is analyzed. |
