Annotation | The article analyses one of the several EU Regulations that have changed the face of civil procedure in the European Union — Regulation № 2201/2003 concerning Jurisdiction and the Recognition and Enforcement of Judgments in Matrimonial Matters and in Matters of Parental Responsibility (Brussels II Regulation). The particular focus is made on the three main points of jurisdiction of the cases on parental responsibility: forum of the habitual residence of the child as the general jurisdictional rule, the rule of lis (alibi) pendens and the rule on the transfer of the case to a better placed court. |
