Article Normativity, Metaphysics and Decision
Authors Alexy R.
Name of magazine Scientific journal «Philosophy of Law and General Theory of Law» (Ukrainian language)
Issue 1 / 2012
Pages 27 - 36
Annotation The author critically addresses Stefano Bertea's attempt to develop a conception of normativity that follows Kantian lines but apart from any metaphysics by using concepts of full-fledged action, enabling capacities and human agency. The article proves that, on the one hand, normativity is not possible without metaphysics, on the other hand, practical normativity — normativity of law included — is not possible without decision.
Keywords full-fledged action, enabling capacities, human agency, normativity, metaphysics, decision.
