Annotation The moderate position avoiding both a promotion to complete denial of the existing concept of human rights and their unconditional approval is presented in the article. This position demonstrates the necessity of modernization of human rights due to their inability to modern needs. Nowadays actively developing biotechnology simultaneously evokes great expectations and serious threats to the main value, which is always a life. Therefore, traditional ethics transforms into the bioethics, traditional law — into the biolaw, traditional jurisprudence — into the biojurisprudence. These changes also relate to the human rights, which should be provided by a new form of the rights of life — the biolaw.
Keywords human rights, rights of life, biotechnology, bioethics, biolaw, biojurisprudence.
