Annotation

The author researches the influence of the Kantian philosophy oncontemporary philosophy of law, primarily on the Pure theory of law by Kelsen andthrough Kelsen’s theory on analytical philosophy. The author believes Kelsen tried toapply in law ideas of transcendental idealism, and first of all the idea of creation of objectof knowledge by human reason, but that tries were unsuccessful. It is also emphasizedthat Kelsen should be considered as a forerunner (if not a father but at least agrandfather) of analytical philosophy of law.

Keywords Kant, Kelsen, analytical philosophy of law, the Pure theory of law, cognition of law.
