Annotation | This article proposes an account of interpretation problems in terms ofthe interpretation of art works. The purpose is to show what role authors’ intentions playin interpretation. Thereto two levels of meaning, «deep» and «basic», are introduced. Theauthor of the article proves that art works should be considered as cultural objects andsupports by this the idea of independence of the interpretation of art works from theirauthors’ intentions. The nature of innovative interpretation, as well as its significance forunderstanding of interpretation in general, is explained. Because of the dependence ofinterpretation of works of art on the fact that reasons for attending to a work of art maychange the author refutes the image of interpretation as retrieval. |
