The essence of rational and emotional constants of legal consciousness is analyzed. Their impact on legal regulation is determined too. It is alleged that rational self-esteem, self-control, self-cognition, self-definition are particularly important elements of legal consciousness. The legal conscience, legal emotions, legal insight are considered as the components of emotional matrix of legal consciousness. The ontological characteristics of the legal will in the context of legal regulation are examined. Dialectical connection of legal regulation and legal obligation is established.
