Annotation The author highlights general features inherent to understanding of law by several Russian and Ukrainian specialists in the sphere of philosophy and general theory of law: S. Maksymov, J. Permiakov, A. Poliakov, A. Stovba, I. Chestnov and I. Chetvernin. The author presents the concept of law, which he called «needs-oriented» law-understanding.
