Annotation | Internationalization of social life, economic globalization, intensification of global economic and humanitarian relations, regional integration, unifying effect of international legal regulation, the tendency to equalize conditions of competition on the world market — all this has led to the convergence of national civil law systems of different countries, initiated the process of harmonization of civil law on a world-wide scale, the trend towards convergence of national civil law systems, towards uniformity in the regulation of the major components of civil legal relationships. The foreign borrowings based on transplantation of fragments or even entire law institutions of foreign countries, implementation of the provisions of international conventions into national law sprang in civil law of many countries. Such development of a «global dimension» of civil law caused necessity of structural adjustment of the civil law academic discipline, the development of new areas of scientific research, preparation of courses of study and manuals with new structure and content. The value of comparative civil law as the academic discipline is that in the course of study the students have the opportunity to experience a wealth of international experience in the field of civil regulation for national legislation enhancement. |
