Annotation | The article reviews the main features and characteristics of social regulation in the Indian tribes before the arrival of the Spanish and Portuguese colonizers. It is considered the influence of the continental legal culture (brought by invaders of the South American continent) on the development of colonial law. The formation of the sovereign states of Latin America in the nineteenth century, leading to the abolition of colonial legal institutions and the proclamation of the new legal principles. |
