The article investigates the origin, formation and development of the land law of Ukraine as an independent, special, social and state-legal phenomena in the formation of which is allocated a number of relatively distinct phases, characterized by the implementation of various features in content areas and the effects of corporate models of land reform. Particular attention is paid to the analysis of problems associated with changes in land system in the implementation of land reform in Ukraine. It is emphasized that due to the incompleteness of the current land reform, land law is inherent in the nature of the transition. Updated land law should be characterized by new content, functions, methods, and harmonize with European Union law.
