The article analyzes the unity and centralization of the prosecutor’s offices on the basis of the comparative legal method. It is noted that the application of the comparative legal method involves a cross-sectoral comparative legal analysis in order to determine the significance of the categories «unified system of prosecutor’s offices», «unity and centralization of the prosecutor’s offices» in the branches of law of Ukraine and in foreign countries. It is indicated that the comparative legal method requires its application to the investigation of normative (legal) definitions and signs of unity of the prosecutor’s office in the normative legal acts of Ukraine and foreign countries. The use of the comparative legal method is necessary to compare legal systems and legal doctrines, in particular, to clarify the general features and peculiarities of understanding the principle of unity of the prosecutor’s offices.
