Paradigm shift of development of the Ukrainian society from a state — centric to a human centric one inevitably requires the similar change also in the paradigm of development of the Ukrainian legal education. The same is required by the other most dangerous challenges facing it: lack of the state strategy and, in general, any consistent state policy in the field of legal education and the access to legal profession; academic misconduct of teachers and students of law schools, first of all, corruption and bribery related to the professional training of lawyers and its quality inspection; divorcement of modern legal education from real needs of social practice and the underestimation of practical training of lawyers still at higher educational institutions; extremely weak motivation of the participants in the educational process in law schools, especially of the teachers and the students. The adoption of the Law of Ukraine «On Legal Education and Public Access to Legal Profession» and to the State Standard of Legal Education will contribute to overcome this problem.
