The article deals with problems related to the lack of common standards for legal education; imperfection of curricula and their overload with non-legal disciplines; the lack of a practical component in training and the weak orientation of the educational process to European legislation and practice; low level of proficiency in foreign legal languages; using the outdated (Soviet) constructs and theories as a doctrinal basis for educational and scientific literature; the need to update textbooks and legal manuals; the need to improve the procedure for evaluation of knowledge of students and graduates.
