The article addresses methodologically the issue of legal principles. The article addresses their onthologic, epistemologic, and axiologic nature through legal principles’ ties with human essence, scholarship, and other types of the perception of the world. Special attention is paid to the correlation of legal principles and legal values. The article makes conclusion that this particular methodological approach can provide non-distorted picture of legal regulation. The second part of the article basing on the appropriate generalizations the author based approach to legal principles’ classification is provided. Additionally, the article provides a short characteristic of legal principles, namely, universal, civilizational, Family law principles and possibilities of special treatment of national legal system principles.
