The article deals with the outstanding problems of carrying out search of the person in criminal proceedings on adoption of the offer, promise or obtaining illegal benefit by the public official. Based on the results of the analysis of scientific sources, materials of practice and rules of domestic and foreign legislation, the author gives ground for the necessity of supplementing the current CPC of Ukraine with the separate article 2341 «Personal search» and formulates its content.
