The article analyzes the current aspects of the reform of the German civil process considering the specific legal status of Germany as a member of the European Union. The study touches on the main stages of the reform, starting in 2001. Thus, the article highlights the latest relevant changes undertaken by the German legislator to enhance the effectiveness and transparency of the national civil process. The results of the research formulate the prospects for the further development of the German civil process. In addition, emphasis is put on the possibility in the reform of the civil process in Ukraine to take into account the experience of the German legislator.
