Annotation | This article deals with special procedures, which are the most popular in Lithuania: payment (court) order, documentary procedure, small claims procedure, cases on public procurement and group (or class) action. It is said that one of the tendencies of Lithuanian civil procedure is quite a huge number of special procedures regulated by the Code of Civil Procedure. The differentiation of proceedings when a specific procedure applies to cases of certain categories is a way to speed up and to make proceedings more economical the proceedings of these categories through various acceleration means. The author explains in the article which special proceedings are more popular than other and why, also that problems arise applying these procedures. EU Regulation on some procedures are also discussed shortly |
