The article is devoted to understanding the correlation between the concepts of ‘agroecology’, ‘sustainable development of the agro-sphere’, ‘greening of agricultural production’ in terms of the need to ensure food security of the State and guarantee the human right to food in the context of global challenges and threats. Based on the analysis of doctrinal and regulatory sources, the author formulates the author’s own definition of the category ‘agroecology’. It is emphasized that agroecology represents a new systemic paradigm of agriculture and its interconnection with society and ecosystems and is not limited to a set of agricultural practices – it is both a scientific discipline and a social movement for food sovereignty.

The article proves the expediency of introducing a praxeological approach into the process of regulatory support and implementation of the State agro-ecological policy and agricultural production in order to ensure to ensure food security and sustainable development of the agrosphere, primarily through the use of normatively defined algorithms for optimal and effective actions within the framework of such measures.

The author proposes a set of organisational and legal measures aimed at ensuring the transition to a new agro-ecological and sustainable model of functioning of the agricultural sector in the postwar period, achieving the maximum level of climate neutrality, ensuring food and environmental security of the State, including: promoting the development of cooperative agricultural producers; development of the National Concept of Climate-Oriented Agriculture; improving the efficiency of implementation of the hydroelectric power reform.
