Annotation | The article seeks to substantiate theoretical and practical foundations for the specialization of economic courts in the judicial system of Ukraine as a guarantee of effectiveness and efficiency of justice. The relevant issues are studied in the context of criticism of the proposals of some politicians in Ukraine to move from the principle of specialization of the judicial system and liquidate economic courts and the Higher Economic Court of Ukraine. The liquidation of economic courts is contrary to modern European trends in the field of judicial defense aimed at strengthening and improving the efficiency of specialized courts. The threats of increasing burden on judges and, as a consequence, the lack of availability and efficiency of justice, concentration of judicial power in one judicial authority (the Supreme Court of Ukraine), as well as lack of proper law interpretation and enforcement in the field of economic activity, delays in consideration of economic disputes are studied. |
