There were analyzed the approaches of constitutional law science to the development of a proper mechanism to ensure freedom of peaceful assembly in Ukraine based on European standards in the legislative and practical fields. Taking into account the relevant decisions of the Constitutional Court of Ukraine on this issue, author also analyzed the impact of its legal position on the practical implementation of this fundamental constitutional right of Ukrainian citizens and other individuals.
