The article is devoted to the determination of the main criminogenic factors of the corruption’s extension based on the analysis of the criminological research of corruption in Kharkiv and the Kharkiv region. The authors proposed a few strategies of corruption prevention: a reduction of the practical possibilities for committing the corruption offences, an interference in the recessionary situations, an alteration of the incentive structure of the corruption offences, the business involving in anti-corruption activity, the public participation in combating the corruption. The importances of the consideration of industrial and regional differences as a corrupt determination during its prevention are emphasized.
