General dispositions and objective laws of the development of the criminal legal system of Ukraine in the part, which deals with the responsibility for the corruption infringements, are  observed. The enlargement of the notion of a public officer as a person of corruption offences and a deviation from the monistic approach to the definition of such a notion in the criminal law is mentioned. The increase of the number of articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine that provides to the responsibility for the corruption infringements are analyzed and reasons for such an appearance are indicated. The groundlessness of the rejection for a number of provisions which proved oneself positively in the past is mentioned. The lack of coordination of sanctions of the articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is indicated.
