The research is devoted to the analysis of a legal profession and the legislation regulating lawyer activity in England, Wales and Scotland. It is found out that the British legal profession is divided into various branches, in particular, two the main of them are barrister and Solicitors. It is proved, as England, both Wales, and Scotland have the developed legal profession with deep roots. Conclusions are drawn that centenary traditions of the English legal profession helped to construct a long-standing and independent profession which is dear in the British society.
