| Annotation | The article examines current trends in the development of the methodology of law in terms of the development of science in society. The author noted the role of thematerialist view of history as a guide in studying social phenomena and processes, and states the internally contradictory development of methodology of law in the Marxist-Leninist law doctrine as well as methodological crisis in modern thinking. Critically evaluated are the attempts of theorists to introduce old metaphysical approaches to understanding the law from the standpoint of the so-called methodological pluralism, ignoring theoretical achievements of Marxism. |
