Annotation The article is devoted to the role of the lustration law as an instrument of political elite’s updates in the Czech Republic. Topicality problems for Ukraine at the modern stage are substantiated in the article. «Cleaning» of the state apparatus and law enforcement has become a priority of Czechoslovakia (later — the Czech Republic) after the «Velvet Revolution». Particular attention is paid to the contents of the special law of 1991, which regulates the grounds and procedures for Lustration in the Czech Republic. Specified are the problem issues in the content of the law. The author draws a conclusion about the impact of lustration on the pace and direction of legal reform in the Czech Republic, and made lessons for Ukraine.
