The article investigates the procedural stages of concluding and signingthe Ukraine–European Union Association Agreement. The mechanisms of the interim applicationof the provisions of the Agreements association in the EU treaty practice are described. The legalbasis of the unprecedented two-step signing of the Agreement on association with Ukraine isdetermined. The legal basis of provisional application and entry into force of the provisions onUkraine—EU deep and comprehensive free trade area is described.
