The article analyzes the activity of Lutsk District Court by the materials of Volynoblast State Archive. Lutsk District Court — a body of court disputes of first instance of the judicialsystem of the Russian Empire, which was created during the implementation of the judicialreform of 1864 in the Russian Empire. Complicated political and socio-economic differences inthe Volyn region, the polarity of the Ukrainian, Polish and Russian population caused certainfeatures in the Lutsk District Court practice.
