The article elucidates theoretical and practical issues of the creation of thefree trade area between the European Union and Ukraine. The formation of free trade area canbe considered as the first step for the integration of the state into EU. The impact of the EUacquis on the internal order of Ukraine is being under thorough consideration. The ways of theimprovement of the legal mechanism of the realization of the EU law in the internal legal orderof Ukraine are determined.
