This article is devoted to studying the contents of the Association agreementbettween Ukraine — the European Union in part of profound and comprehousive free tradearea, which concerns not only the provisions on trade, but also other chapters, which containgreat potential for reforming the economy and society. It is determined that the Ukrainianpolicy in competition, logistics, intellectual property, public procurement, subsidies,certification, finance and transport needs coordination with EU standards. Opening marketsmust be made immediately, but slowly and it depends on the realization of economic, politicaland administrative reforms. Also to be eliminated obstacles to trade and set technicalstandards.
