Article continues consideration of a problem of research of law in today’s crisis,the law understanding. It shows the characteristics of the main stages of development of the lawunderstanding of the dogmatic and ideological-philosophical grounds. There methodologicallimitations of the law understanding of the theoretical futility of «methodological pluralism».Difference of the last from ideological pluralism of interpretations of law and the need forscientific and critical analysis of the Soviet theory of law is emphasized.
