The article analyzes the current state of penal policy Ukraine related to the introduction of the institute of probation in connection with the adoption and implementation of the Law of Ukraine «On probation». We characterize the main tasks defined by the current piece of legislation and ways to solve them in the context of current reforms. The basic measures to address the pressing problems associated with the introduction of the institute of probation in Ukraine.
