In the article are exposed some aspects of legal defence of whistleblowers of information, their role in corruption counteraction on the basis of analysis of domestic and international experience. The special attention is paid to the problems of legal definition «whistleblower», to the mechanism of his defence and analysis of general recommendations of international organizations on regulation of defence of whistleblowers of information. The perspective considered in article can be actual for improvement of counteraction to offenses (in particular corruption) in Ukraine.
