The article makes an attempt to analyze the development of alternative methods of dispute resolution, in particular, international commercial arbitration, in the context of solving a complex problem — the creation in Ukraine an effective mechanism for protecting the rights and freedoms of individuals and legal entities. It is concluded that the arbitration as a form of non-state jurisdictional activity should organically complement the justice — the main channel of the fulfillment the functions of human rights protection in the state; proposals to improve relationship between the judiciary and arbitration are being contributed.
