In article the author investigates understanding of monopoly of the lawyer for representation of interests of persons in legal agencies through a prism of provisions of article 6 (the right for a fair trial) of the European convention on human rights, court practice of the European Court of Human Rights and experience of introduction of this institute in the Republic of Lithuania.
