The article analyzes the causes which generate the extraordinary (emergency) situation, reveals the essence of the different types of emergencies that present a danger not only for Ukraine but also for other countries. The author meticulously describes the circumstances which serve as the introduction of state of emergency. It is proposed to discuss some interesting legislative innovations, which should help to cope with extraordinary situations, to minimize their negative impact on the economic, political and other systems associated with them that exist in the state.
