The article is dedicated to problem detection in the field of legal regulation of state service in the fiscal bodies in the context of legislations updating. Ukrainian Customs and Taxes Code’s provisions are analyzed in terms of correspondence to new Public Service Law. Comparative analysis of the determination of the customs and tax officials’ legal status principles is executed. The proposals to unify those principles are offered. Possible solutions of problems in the field of legal regulation of state service in the fiscal bodies are suggested.
