| Annotation | Article deals with legal provisions regarding securities underwriting in the law of Ukraine. Different tendencies in the development of the abovementioned sphere of legislation are analyzed. The author quotes the definitions of securities underwriting the way they are found in law provisions of Ukraine nowadays, citing the language of former legal acts for comparison. Progressive and unsuccessful points are closely examined. Contemporary definitions are analyzed in detail; the author logically examines first the definition of securities underwriting itself, and then the way rights and obligations of the parties are portrayed in the provisions of law dealing with the essence of the agreement. The author also shows the personal understanding of some particular law provisions that can be subject to different ways of perception, explaining some specific terms. The author makes suggestions about possible ways to improve the law provisions as well as the amendments to the valid laws of Ukraine and the model of underwriting agreement. The author substantiates the necessity for the adoption of special statutory act fully dedicated to the regulation of relations on securities underwriting. |
