Annotation The article examines the questions of genesis of modern constitutional and legal doctrine related to urgent problems of transformation and improvement of the modern state and society in Ukraine. It is proved that the development of modern constitutionalism theory in the national framework and abroad is inextricably linked to the rethinking of the basic categories, conceptual development and dissemination of a new paradigm of doctrinal interpretation of constitutional law and constitutional and legal regulation. The author provides the analysis of the objective factors and determinants of constitutional and legal doctrine transformations and its close relationship with modern constitutional process in Ukraine. It is shown that in the context of constitutional modernization, the priority belongs to doctrinal rethinking the foundations of democracy, civil society development, which are called to ensure the preservation and protection of Ukraine's constitutional order.
