| Annotation | The article investigates, in the context of European interstate economic integration, the historical and legal features of the Austro-German customs union project of 1931. Special attention has been given to analyzing the text of the protocol comprising the principles of functioning the customs union and compatibility of the provisions of this document with international obligations of Austria and Germany. The article considers the international context, which framed the negotiations between the above mentioned states in respect of the possibility of establishing the customs union as well as factors which caused the failure of the realization of this project. |
